1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy applies to the website proprify.in and the related services operated by Proprify Private Limited ("Proprify", "we", "us"), a company incorporated under the Companies Act, 2013, with:

Proprify is the data fiduciary under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) in respect of personal data collected through the Website.

2. Information we collect

2.1 Information you provide

Account & identity: name, phone number, email, Google profile (if you sign in with Google), role (buyer / seller).
Valuation order details: property address, property type, intended purpose, contact details for site visit, supporting documents you upload (sale deed, tax receipts, title documents).
Marketplace listings: photographs, property description, ownership and pricing information you submit when posting a property for sale.
Payment information: processed by Razorpay; we receive transaction status, order amount, payment method type and our internal order reference. We do not store full card numbers or bank credentials.
Communications: messages you send to support, our AI assistant, the seller-buyer chat, and WhatsApp business chat (DoubleTick).

2.2 Information collected automatically

Device data: IP address, browser, operating system, language.
Usage data: pages visited, features used, error logs, approximate location derived from IP (city-level).
Cookies and similar technologies — see Section 8.
Property GPS coordinates and timestamped photos captured by our assigned Govt Registered Valuer at the site visit (with your knowledge and on your property).

2.3 Information from third parties

Google (if you sign in with Google): your name and email.
Public records, where we look up RERA registration, guideline values, comparable sales for valuation purposes.

3. How we use your information

To deliver the certified valuation report you ordered, including assigning a Govt Registered Valuer, scheduling the site visit, preparing the signed report and despatching hard copies.
To process payment, issue GST-compliant invoices and handle refunds.
To operate the property marketplace — show listings, route enquiries between buyers and sellers, run AI-assisted lead filtering.
To send transactional messages (order updates, OTPs, report delivery, refund confirmations) by email, SMS and WhatsApp.
To improve our services, monitor for fraud and abuse, and meet legal and regulatory requirements.
To send marketing communications, where you have opted in. You can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link or by writing to privacy@proprify.in.

4. How we share your information

We disclose personal data only to the categories of recipients below, and only as needed to perform the services you requested or to meet legal obligations:

Assigned valuer: the Govt Registered Valuer (IBBI or Form N cadre) executing your report receives the property address, your contact for the site visit, and the documents you uploaded.
Empanelled CA: for net-worth and similar certificates, our empanelled Chartered Accountant receives the compiled valuations and other inputs to sign the certificate.
Payment processor — Razorpay Software Private Limited. Handles card / UPI / netbanking processing under their own privacy policy at razorpay.com/privacy.
Cloud infrastructure — Google Cloud Platform (GCP): hosts the application, database and document storage. Data is stored in the Mumbai / Asia-South region.
Analytics & advertising — Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta (Facebook) Pixel: usage analytics and conversion measurement; configured to anonymise IP where the tool supports it.
Messaging — DoubleTick (WhatsApp Business API provider): sends WhatsApp OTPs and transactional notifications.
Courier — Blue Dart Express Limited or equivalent: delivers hard-copy reports to your address.
Legal & regulatory: we may disclose personal data to comply with applicable law, court orders, regulatory requests, or to protect rights, property and safety.

We do not sell personal data.

5. International transfers

Personal data is stored on GCP infrastructure in India (Asia-South1 region). Some of our processors (e.g. Google Analytics, Meta) may process aggregated, non-identifying data outside India in compliance with applicable law.

6. Data retention

Valuation report data — retained for at least 7 years to align with IBBI Rule 9 of the Companies (Registered Valuers and Valuation) Rules, 2017 applied as firm policy across all engagements.
Customer account contact data — retained until you withdraw consent or delete your account.
Payment data — retained per RBI / PCI-DSS requirements and to support refund / dispute windows.
Marketing communications data — retained until you opt out.
Server logs — typically 90 days.

7. Your rights under the DPDP Act, 2023

You have the right to:

Obtain a summary of the personal data we process about you and the processing activities undertaken;
Correct, complete, update or erase your personal data, subject to legal retention obligations;
Nominate another individual to exercise these rights in case of your death or incapacity;
Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent;
Lodge a grievance with our Grievance Officer (Section 11). If unresolved, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.

8. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies for: keeping you signed in, remembering preferences, measuring usage (Google Analytics), and attribution (Google Ads, Meta Pixel). You can disable cookies in your browser settings; some features (e.g. ordering a valuation) will not work without essential cookies.

9. Security

We use TLS 1.2+ in transit, encryption at rest on GCP-managed storage, role-based access controls, and audit logging for sensitive operations. No system is perfectly secure; we encourage you to keep your account password / OTP confidential and to alert us at privacy@proprify.in if you suspect unauthorised access.

10. Children's data

The Website is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us personal data, contact privacy@proprify.in and we will delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Effective" date above is the date of the most recent update. Material changes will be notified by email (where we have an email on file) or via a notice on the Website.
